About

What Dispatch is.

A daily AI news brief that publishes less on purpose.

The idea

AI news moves fast and most of it is noise — press releases dressed as breakthroughs, tweet cycles with no primary source, speculative pieces with nothing falsifiable to hold onto. Dispatch runs a trust-score filter on every candidate story. Anything below 50/100 never publishes. On slow days, nothing goes out. That's the point.

How it works

An AI pipeline ingests primary sources every six hours and scores each candidate on four dimensions: primary sourcing (35 pts), cross-referencing (25 pts), falsifiability (25 pts), and a hype penalty (−15 pts). Stories that clear 50 become candidates. A human editor reads the brief, follows the sources, and decides what leads each day. The pipeline handles the volume; the judgment is not automated.

Who runs it

Dispatch is an independent personal project built and maintained by Santiago Correa. There is no company, no investors, no advertising. The site is free to read without an account. Email delivery is optional. Corrections are public and permanent — every revision is appended to the article's history, never silently overwritten.

What we cover

  • AI model releases and capability research
  • AI policy, regulation, and governance
  • AI safety and alignment research
  • AI agents, tools, and developer infrastructure
  • Evaluations and benchmarks
  • Culture and societal impact of AI

We don't cover funding rounds, stock rumours, press releases dressed as news, opinion pieces with no falsifiable claim, or tweet-driven cycles. Nothing below 50 ever publishes, ever.
